Introduction
POSCO E&C is a general construction company that began in 1994 as POSCO’s construction arm, carrying out a wide range of projects at home and abroad, from steelworks and energy plants to infrastructure and its residential brand “The Sharp.” Aiming to be an innovative builder that is familiar to customers, partners and the public, it is expanding into eco-friendly future businesses.

As a leading Korean construction company, POSCO E&C aimed to improve its UX/UI to promote its corporate capabilities and improve communication as a more familiar and innovative builder for customers, partners and the public.

The customer experience (CX) of the POSCO E&C website can be summed up as “emphasize corporate identity, keep the core simple, make information easy and friendly.” Along with a complete design overhaul, more than 90% of all menus were renewed.

Background

Traditionally a B2B business, construction can no longer win market trust on project records alone; ESG, digital transformation, green construction and technological innovation have become central to how companies communicate. POSCO E&C wanted to feel more approachable and innovative to customers, partners and the public. It needed a digital channel that repositions its businesses and achievements for a changing market and conveys its many layers of value.

Solution

We carried out the first official website renewal in ten years through company-wide collaboration. Content analysis and focused interviews reset the information structure and management system, creating an architecture where project records, technology and news connect naturally, and more than 90% of the menus were renewed. With 'emphasize corporate identity, keep the core simple, make information easy and friendly' as the CX principles, we created 'Special Story', a branding menu that shows core values and capabilities at a glance. Long-form content going deep on ESG, future technology and green construction earned the site recognition as the best among POSCO group companies.

Key Features

• Stronger ESG and environmental content

• A 'Special Story' section with the company's story

• An independent newsroom for external communication

• A content strategy built on video, images and infographics

• A fully renewed admin system for operators
