Introduction - LG Uplus is a mobile carrier providing customers with a wide range of telecom services centered on mobile communications. Launched in 2010 through the merger of LG Telecom, LG Dacom and LG Powercom, it provides services across wired and wireless communications, from mobile and high-speed internet to IPTV and business solutions.
LG Uplus UX/UI Consulting & Official Website Renewal for PC and Mobile
Saltcake has provided consulting for the architecture overhaul and corresponding UI design of LG Uplus’s official PC and mobile websites, aiming to deliver optimized services tailored to customers. Based on the consulting outcomes, a full renewal of the PC and mobile sites was carried out. The entire menu structure was reorganized from the customer’s perspective to ensure easy access and usability of LG Uplus’s services. Combined with strategic design and functional enhancements, the site was renewed to reflect the solid reputation of a leading telecommunications provider.
Background
Building on earlier UXUI standards consulting, LG Uplus entered the execution phase to fix a complex service structure and disconnected channel experiences. Customers wanted to find plans, content and add-on services quickly and easily, and manage complex information like phone bills intuitively. Better usability and an advanced integrated search were the core tasks.
Solution
After consulting on the main website's architecture and UI, we renewed the entire PC and mobile site based on the results. The full menu was reorganized from the customer's point of view for easy access to services, and usability testing optimized the information structure. An advanced integrated search helps customers find what they want quickly and accurately, and consistent design and interaction across web and mobile made the site worthy of a well-established mobile carrier.
