Introduction
Founded in 1947, Hyundai E&C is Korea’s leading construction company, having completed countless landmark projects in building, civil engineering, plants and energy at home and abroad. Having written Korea’s construction history with the Gyeongbu Expressway and its entry into the Middle East, it is expanding its future business with the residential brands Hillstate and THE H and in energy transition fields such as nuclear power and hydrogen.

An independent yet integrated identity for the corporate site and the news site

Hyundai E&C carried out a responsive renewal of its PC website, together with an official newsroom site for communicating with customers. The Hyundai E&C corporate site is no longer just a company homepage but a place where customers come to share the latest Hyundai E&C news, establishing itself as a hub that connects Hyundai E&C and its customers. The site offers a variety of content, including the company newsletter, the newsroom and social media.

Background

Because the public feels distant from construction, it was hard for the brand to convey its identity and earn corporate trust. The larger the builder, the less its technology and achievements came across visually, and its activities and historical value rarely reached consumers. A UX strategy was needed to strengthen public-mindedness and transparency and turn a construction company's heritage into a digital experience.

Solution

We wove Hyundai E&C's brand identity — its history and construction methods — into the digital interface, conveying trust and standing through experience. Alongside the corporate site we built a separate official newsroom, the first in the industry to share corporate activity this transparently, and a flow from the intro into both sites creates an identity that is independent yet integrated. A social hub gathering the company magazine, newsroom and social channels connects Hyundai E&C with its audience, and content visualizing construction technology and project results emphasizes expertise and heritage. A color strategy reflecting the Hyundai group identity and responsive design make the sites comfortable to view on any device.

Key Features

• A separate corporate newsroom and its information structure

• Content centered on project results and technology
