Introduction
EBS (Korea Educational Broadcasting System) is Korea’s public broadcaster dedicated to education, providing lifelong learning programs from early childhood through elementary, middle and high school to adulthood on air and online. With college entrance exam lectures, documentaries, children’s programs and more, it creates an environment where anyone can learn.

EBS needed a new design system for its annual college entrance exam textbooks that kept their credibility and readability while reflecting students’ changing study habits and visual fatigue. With many subjects and a heavy study load, an editorial structure and visual consistency that help students grasp information quickly were essential.

We systematically distinguished typefaces, colors and layouts by subject difficulty and content type so learners can absorb information quickly. Keeping the textbook brand tone, we also refined study aids such as chapter structure, infographics and note areas to raise learning efficiency and visual comfort.

Key Features

• A visual system for each subject

• An editorial structure for quick understanding

• Colors and layouts that reduce fatigue

• Stronger infographic-based study aids
