Introduction - Founded in 1969, Samsung Electronics is a global electronics company leading markets worldwide with a broad range of products and technologies, from Anycall mobile phones to TVs, camcorders, home appliances and semiconductors. Driven by design management, it has grown into a world-class electronics brand by innovating both product experiences and brand communication.
The camcorder market spans many user types and shooting scenarios, raising expectations for a UI that is intuitive and fast to operate. As features expanded, an interface that efficiently organized complex settings was needed, along with a usability-centered GUI system that kept the brand consistent for global users.
We reordered the flow of operation so users reach key features quickly, organizing the shoot, save and playback flow into one integrated design system. A black-tone visual identity delivered a premium, stable feel, and unified icons, typography and colors formed GUI guidelines usable across many models.
