Introduction
Founded in 1985, Samsung SDS is Samsung Group’s IT services company, leading digital innovation in fields such as the public sector, finance and manufacturing through system integration, IT outsourcing and consulting. It has also taken part in building IT infrastructure and services for large national events and public projects, creating new experiences through technology.

The 2012 Yeosu Expo was a national event to show the world Korea’s internet technology and future industries, calling for future-oriented experiences that connect digital and physical space. Augmented reality was still in its early days, with a gap between the technology and real experience, and a new UI/GUI approach was needed to convey Korea’s innovation intuitively.

Combining visitor paths with digital technology, we visualized an AR-based experience of future technology. Technologies not yet realized were reimagined as user scenarios from a future perspective, and the UI/GUI was designed to convey Korea’s technological competitiveness naturally as visitors experienced the blend of reality and digital information.

Key Features
